Career Technology

In order to for Alabama businesses to have the employees they need to succeed in the 21st Century, we must provide tomorrow’s workforce with the skills they need for the careers they choose.

BEA strongly supports efforts to transform career courses throughout middle schools and high schools in Alabama, and we applaud the recent bond issue investment that will reinvent technology training and staff development while upgrading the equipment used to train our future workers.

Not every student has the desire, ability or finances to pursue a four-year college degree, but every student does have a right to pursue a secure, well-paying and long-lasting job, and this investment will help them achieve that goal.

Providing quality career and technical training not only gives students a roadmap to a bright future, it also keeps Alabama ahead of the curve in recruiting and expanding the cutting edge industries of tomorrow, which is vital when competing with our sister southeastern states.
